While we waited for the announcement of the new
GoPro for the next month, the web site PetaPixel managed to get their hands before anyone else on the characteristics of GoPro Hero 4 They mark a major change from the
GoPro Hero3 +.
As usual with GoPro, it's two cameras to be proposed next month. These will be the GoPro Hero4 Silver Edition and Black Edition GoPro Hero 4. Unlike previous models, these two versions each have arguments able to attract different audiences. The Silver version and address a large audience while Hero4 is intended for advanced video enthusiasts.
GoPro Hero4 Silver, first of all, has a very interesting feature: it is the first and only GoPro to date to have an LCD touch screen. No more having to buy expensive screen to attach to the camera, it is now integrated directly into the camera and without the latter exceeds the unit. It should make it possible to review its records, but also change camera settings. For the rest, the GoPro Hero4 Silver should have more or less the same characteristics as the GoPro Hero3 Black + 2013 It will take videos with the following features: 4K at 15 frames per second (fps), in 2 7K at 30 fps in 1440p at 48 fps in 1080p at 60 fps in 960p at 100 fps in 720p and finally to 120 fps. It will also be able to take photos of 12 MP gusting to 30 fps.
GoPro Hero4 Black then will not have integrated touch screen. It will therefore be going through a detachable screen BacPac order to care settings without using a connection to a smartphone. However Hero4 Black has other arguments that are sure to touch video enthusiasts. Quite simply, its video performance is doubled compared to last year's model. The most impressive is certainly capturing video in 4K which now reaches 30 fps. The performance of other definitions have also been doubled: 2.7K to 50 fps, 80 fps 1440p, 1080p, 120 fps, 120 fps 960p, and 720p at 120 fps. PetaPixel also states that it is no longer possible to take videos at 240 fps.
Significant detail, these new cameras are waterproof up to 40 meters deep. They will also have the features of previous GoPro, namely the support of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and the ability to turn on and record directly by simply pressing a button.
Leak forces, we do not yet know the exact price of these two cameras. For information, GoPro last year were sold 350 and 450 euros. PetaPixel says GoPro will hold a press conference to officially unveil these two cameras on 8 October. The devices would then be in the trade shortly thereafter.
